Cllr. Cathryn Steward

Vice-Chair

Cathryn became a member of the Parish Council in March 2018. After taking 9 months away from the Council in 2021 she was co-opted back onto the Council in January 2022.

She served as Vice-chair to the full Council from 2019 to March 2021 and she hosted the Parish Council meetings when they were held on-line during the Covid pandemic.

Cathryn is a member of the Sports Field Working Group which is working towards enhancing the facilities at the sports field for use by all members of the community.

As a member of the Leys Field Play Area Working Group, Cathryn was fully involved in securing community support, funding and provision of the play equipment on the Leys field.

She has twice laid the Remembrance Sunday wreath on behalf of the Parish Council at the village memorial. She considers it an honour to pay respect to those of our village who did not make it home.

Cathryn and her family have lived in Honeybourne since 2016. Before moving to Honeybourne, she spent most of her life living in an Oxfordshire village where she can trace her family back to the 17th century. She therefore highly values the importance of community spirit and a sense of belonging in the place where you live. She is passionate about listening to and understanding the views of the community and getting involved in delivering local projects.

Cathryn is a solicitor and although she no longer works in a legal environment she brings her knowledge and experience to the Parish Council.

Cllr Andrew Attridge

I operate the Ranch Holiday Caravan Park, moving into the family business at Honeybourne in 1976. The demands of the business involves a great deal of time spent in Honeybourne with both Sheila, my wife, and myself bringing up our two boys, Tim and Steve, here in Honeybourne both attending local schools. Steve now works here with us at the Ranch Park. I have seen changes in Honeybourne over the years and have been proud to serve the Parish Council for some considerable time. I believe my experience here and local knowledge provides positive and useful input into the Parish.

I moved to Honeybourne in 1987 I ran the local store for eight years (which is now the Pottery Shop) and now run a successful home delivery newspaper business to five local villages. In 1988 I joined the Honeybourne Parish Council and have served the community continuously for the last twenty three years as a Councillor, School Governor and a founder member of VISA. I have been Council Chairman for six years and under my chairmanship the Parish Council has introduced the Lengthsman scheme, instigated the very successful allotments in Poden Lane and the purchase in 2008 of the Recreation Field.

Cllr Zoe Thorpe

Councillor

Zoë joined the Parish Council in 2021 having moved to Honeybourne in 2017 from a village in Gloucestershire. She was re-elected in May 2023. With two young children Zoë felt she would like to contribute something to the village she would be raising her family in.  She is particularly passionate about ensuring our village is a safe haven for Honeybourne’s children and has dedicated her time on the Parish Council to road safety through the Traffic Calming Working Group.  She is the Chair of the Traffic Calming Working Group.
