Honeybourne Sports Field
The Council’s Sports Field is located at Bretforton Road and is free to use. There is a pavilion which may be hired at a minimal cost, with showers, changing facilities as well as a small kitchen. This is an excellent recreation ground, open to all, which includes a boules court, trim trail, fitness pod, outdoor gym equipment, cricket/golf cage, tennis court, basketball area.
The equipment has been designed to be inspiring and inclusive for all. It does not segregate by age or ability and creates a social hub for the village. Honeybourne Parish Council strives to maintain all our facilities to a high standard.
The Leys Playing Fields, Brick Walk, Honeybourne
The site is a large rectangular playing field covering approximately 2.3 hectares.
The Leys Playing Fields is located at Brick Walk, Honeybourne. The Council has leased the playing field from Worcestershire County Council. The northern half of the playing field contains a play area which consists of Evoround Clamber stack, Fahr underground tunnel, Steel sides four tower unit, Six sided jumper, Robina sitting pole, zip wire, Robina Tower, Mini Wehopper, two bay swings and wheelchair carousel. The equipment was installed in 2021 using s106 monies.
Wildflower Meadow
The southern half of the playing field, a wildflower meadow, was created in 2023 by the Parish Council. This was made possible through a grant award from Natural Networks Programme which is a European Regional Development Fund. Local fruit trees, plug and bulbs plants were planted to support the biodiversity and enhance the local wildlife in the area.
The Parish Council is responsible for the maintenance of the ground and the play equipment.
Did you know that you can hire the Honeybourne Sports Field and the Pavilion?
The Sports Field can be hired together with the Pavilion or just the sport field on its own for football, cricket or other events.
The Pavilion can be hired for meetings or for a children’s birthday party. The pavilion consists of a small kitchen area with facilities to make hot and cold drinks. There are 2 changing rooms with showers and toilet. The referee’s changing room consist of a shower. The pavilion has disabled access and a disabled toilet.
